Approximately 16 miles west of Cedar Creek Subdivision is the small community of Kendrick, Idaho. Kendrick was established in the late 1800s as a depot stop on the Northern Pacific Railroad line. Where trains once traveled, now visitors and area residents can enjoy a nature walk or bike ride. The railroad line was converted to the Ed Corkill Memorial River Trail which skirts the Potlatch River for over 5 miles. This quaint town is within a 35 minute drive from both Lewiston, Idaho and Moscow, Idaho. So it is close to shopping and entertainment but still offers the solitude of the country life. Local area events include the annual Locust Blossom Festival every May and the Blackberry Festival held every September which features an antique car and tractor show.
