Harris Ranch, Wildcat Mountain Ranch was the historic route of the Butterfield Stagecoach, which carried mail from St. Louis to California. Several U.S. Cavalry lookout points, used to protect the stagecoaches against Comanche Indian attacks, can be found on the ranch today. Where it is not uncommon to stumble upon artifacts from both U.S. soldiers and Indians who once called these mountain, plateaus and canyons home.
