The White Oak Plantation offers a Main Lodge, an Executive Cottage, a Manager's House, an Administrator's Office and numerous sheds/barns and outbuildings. The 1st phase of the Lodge was built in 1984 and completely renovated in 1997. Phase 1 has 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths with a dining room that seats 30 - 40, commercial kitchen and laundry room. Phase 2 was finished in 1987 and includes 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a large hall, meeting room/conference room. Phase 3 was completed in 2000 and hosts a 44x44ft Trophy Room with hardwood floors, 24ft vaulted ceilings, fireplace with antique surround and specially designed elk and deer antler chandeliers. Phase 3 encompasses an upstairs Master Suite with sitting room, bedroom, small kitchen, bathroom, cedar lined walk in closet and a screened porch overlooking the Lodge Lake. It also has 2 guest bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The Executive Cottage, is used for summer fishing groups and other special guests, has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining area and sitting areas. The Administrator's Office is equipped with 3 offices, a large showroom, 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The office is internet and satellite ready. It could easily be converted to living quarters. The Manager's House has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The outbuildings include large shop/barn, generator shed, cleaning shed and a lakeside pavilion which overlooks the 14 acre Lodge Lake. There are other smaller ponds scattered over the property. In the event of a power outage there is a generator capable of running all of the necessities until power can be restored. This facility really has it all. White Oak Plantation is located in Alabama's Black Belt Soil Region along the Big Swamp Creek drain basin. Big Swamp Creek consists of thousands of acres of bottomland hardwoods and very productive farm land and is considered to host some of the best trophy deer and turkey hunting in the Southeast.
