Butterfield Lake is a 960 acre lake where largemouth bass up to 20 inches are taken fairly regularly. Smallmouth bass reach a similar size. Northern pike up to 30 inches and yellow perch up to 12 inches provide good ice fishing and early spring action. At the end of the lake you access the Black Creek that meanders northward to the hidden property.

At the south end of the property you first come to the cabin. The cabin, circa 1900s, was home to the original trappers who cruised the Black Creek in search of Beaver, Mink, Muskrat and Otter pelts.
