Wildlife: Over the past eight years, there have been 3 releases of improved native genetic whitetail bucks and doe, with the most recent being a release of 10 doe and 6 bucks. The ranch is highly populated with whitetail, and the current MLDP program calls for harvesting of 48 bucks and 30 doe. There is also a small herd of trophy axis sporting 36 horn and the #8 axis deer in the US was taken here. The variety of wildlife includes whitetail deer, axis, fallow, elk, aoudad, oryx, blackbuck, gemsbok, zebra, javelina and bobcat. The MLDP qualification allows for an extended hunting season for the whitetail, and many of the other species offer year round hunting. In addition, the ranch is home to a flock of over 100 turkeys, many coveys of quail and dove hunting is an added attraction.
Water: The ranch is blessed with three ponds ranging in size from acre to acre. The larger pond is stocked with bass, bluegill and other forage fish for recreational fishing. There are nine water troughs, most located at the feeding stations. The ranch also enjoys a long stretch of the wet weather Salt Creek, noted for Indian artifacts. Three wells as follows:
