Ohio, Circa 1870
This canted queen post timber frame 1865 barn was built in Bluffton, Ohio. The hand hewn beams are in exceptional condition and upon disassembling, trucking it to Texas, and rebuilding it, not one of the beams needed any repair. The 3-story silo was custom built from an early 1920s water storage tank purchased from a South Texas oil company. The original metal straps were used on the exterior. Antique bricks from North Carolina were used to line the interior offering an office, full bedroom with En Suite bath and cedar closet, and a third-level sitting room with a rotunda ceiling. The great room is grand in proportion along with the enormous fireplace made of hand worked native rock from the ranch, a loft, full bar, and kitchen equipped with Wolf range, Subzero refrigeration, & Miele coffee station. A loft bedroom with full bathroom is on the second level. Utility room, steam room, and dry sauna complete this incredible package. The outdoor patio is spacious and overlooks the circular 25 diameter pool & spa. The exterior is covered with hand peeled bark from poplar trees.
