ABOUT THE REGION

The Totten Homeplace is located in central Pocahontas County in the mountains of southeastern West Virginia. The Pocahontas County region is renowned for its highland forestswoodlands that ascend to windswept summits more than 4,000 feet above sea level. Its highest peaks are among the highest in the Allegheny range of the Appalachian Mountain.
