From Alderson, West Virginia: 5 miles +/- (approximately 15 minutes)
From the Greenbrier County side of Alderson, cross the Route 3 East bridge over the Greenbrier River; continue left with Route 3 East; travel Route 3 East for 5 miles towards the community of Wolf Creek. On the left of Route 3 is an abandoned white frame church building; as you pass this, you will see on the right-side mile marker 5. At mile marker five, turn right across the cattleguard and follow the gravel road past the neighbors property; the gravel drive will lead directly to the Thompson home. From Union, West Virginia, at the Monroe County Courthouse: 16.7 miles +/- (approximately 25 minutes)

Travel US Route 219 North for 4 miles to Pickaway; turn left onto Route 3 West and continue 12.7 miles, and the farm drive is on the left side just before an abandoned white frame church building that is on the right.
From Walmart Super Center in Historic Lewisburg, West Virginia, 23 miles (approximately 30 minutes)
Take US Route 219 North for 0.1 miles and turn left onto Interstate 64 West (exit 169). Travel 8 miles and turn right onto the Alta/Alderson exit (161); at the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 12 South. Take Route 12 South for 12.3 miles into Alderson and then turn left, cross the Route 3 East bridge over the Greenbrier River; continue left with Route 3 East; travel Route 3 East for 5 miles towards the community of Wolf Creek. On the left of Route 3 is an abandoned white frame church building; as you pass this, you will see on the right-side mile marker 5. At mile marker five, turn right across the cattleguard and follow the gravel road past the neighbors property; the gravel drive will lead directly to the Thompson home.
