Sunview Ranch is an expansive year-round ranch consisting of nearly 30,000 acres of one of the largest remaining tracts of sandhill prairie left in the region. The Sunview Ranch currently operates in conjunction with a very large-scale cattle operation, standing alone Sunview can run approximately 420 pairs year-round with a supplemental protein feed source during the winter months, and a small hay pile for emergency situations. This ranching operation is made up of 31 pastures and has adopted a forage utilization strategy of take , leave per the terms of the management plan and conservation easement. The dominant vegetation on the rangelands in this region is sand sagebrush, which provides critical habitat for a number of animal and plants species reliant on sandhill prairie habitat. As such, the Kansas ranch offers great hunting opportunities with trophy mule deer, pronghorn, elk, and scaled quail. Sunview cattle ranch is a low overhead ranching operation, with great conservation values and recreational attributes.
