Located on the east side of the Salinas Valley near King City, the San Lorenzo Vineyard is a 356-acre ranch (304.6 net vine acres) set on an upper bench overlooking the Salinas Valley.
The San Lorenzo Vineyard is part of the Monterey AVA. This vineyard is toward the middle-south end of the valley with a warm climate that is influenced by the morning fog and onshore winds that limit summer temperatures and allows a long growing and ripening season.
Planted in 2000, the vineyard has a VSP trellis system with 8'x5' spacing. The majority of the vineyard is planted to Chardonnay with 2 blocks of Merlot. There are 10 rows of trees on 9.6-acres that provide wind protection.

Water is provided by the San Lorenzo Water Company, a private mutual water company that provides water to this property and several vineyards and row crop ranches in the vicinity. This water company has 9 interconnected wells located on the lower bench of the Salinas Valley. These wells pump water up into several reservoirs located in the area with pumps distributing water to the individual ranches. Water on this ranch is pumped from an on-site reservoir and is distributed throughout the ranch with high-pressure lines with drip irrigation supplying water to the vines.
The vineyard is leased through the 2021 season and is available for an owner-user to take over for the 2022 growing season.
