Salkehatchie Forks is located in Colleton County at the convergence of the Big and Little Salkehatchie, which forms the Combahee River. This setting offers privacy and seclusion for weekend hunting or fishing trips. The Forks offers an abundance of wild game including; deer, turkey, waterfowl, wild hogs, and fresh water fishing. The landscape is comprised of hardwood bottomland, much of which was harvested in 1999 and 2000. 200 +/- acres was selectively harvested leaving a residual stand of mature oaks, this offers diversity for an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife. Access to the Forks tract is by a dedicated deeded easement leading into the property from the Old Salkehatchie Road in Hampton County. The interior road provides adequate accessibility to much of this property. This is a rare opportunity to own a sizable hunting property at a very reasonable price.
