St. Elmo, Colorado
Founded in 1880, St. Elmo experienced a population boom due to gold and silver mining. The railroad brought track up to St. Elmo, and it became a railroad hub for supplies. In 1922, however, the tracks were abandoned and St. Elmo became a ghost town. Today, people live year round, and historic buildings are being restored. St. Elmo, and its gorgeous mountain backdrop, are a popular attraction in the summer.
This rustic 585 +/- SF cabin is beautifully situated on 1.49 Acres in the tall pines in the outlying area of St. Elmo. It overlooks the creek on the opposite side of the road and has terrific views of an aspen and evergreen studded mountainside.
