To the west are some of the most well-known sites of ancient civilization such as Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde. Travel east for a short visit to the Rio Grande Gorge or the Taos Pueblo. Ski areas here include Angel Fire and Red River. Santa Fe with its famous plaza and Indian Market are just over an hour to the south.
