Locally known as the Hale pasture, this 160 +/- acre tract was a key contributor over the years in cattle grazing and hay production on what was the original Jackson family homestead. The east 85 +/- acres of the tract were at one point broke ground in the early 1960s and then sowed down to brome grass in the late 1970s. Over time the remaining 75 +/- acres of native prairie and brome became an open pasture without cross fencing allowing the cattle to fully graze the entire pasture.
