Town Creek Indian Mound state historical archaeological site is 6.2 miles downstream (measured as the river winds), but less than 10 minutes away from the driveway entrance.
The subject property was almost completely clear-cut circa 1999. Those areas were sprayed, burned, and replanted in pines by hand in 2002 (a great investment 13 years later). Roads, trails, and a small pond have been developed on the property by the current owner.
