The history related to the ranch is fascinating in itself and many remnants of days gone by can still be seen. The old railbed of the Midland Railroad runs through the ranch and the well where steam locomotives would sit and fill with water still sits as it did over 100 years ago. There are homestead remnants as well including a large root cellar and part of an old livestock barn. The owners took care to preserve the history and even repurposed timbers from collapsed structures. These timbers can be seen through the home in the trim work and there is even an old barn door with its original hardware.

Pikes Peak Ranch offers something for everyone. Far enough from the big city to enjoy the country life but an easy drive to Woodland Park or Colorado Springs for shopping at big box stores.

Pikes peak Ranch fronts Highway 24 just west of Divide, Colorado along the front range just north of Pikes Peak.

The ranch has direct access from Highway 24 in 2 locations with gravel roads to the home..

Elevation, Topography, Vegetation

Sitting at an elevation of about 9,000 feet the ranch consists of rolling terrain with grass-covered hills and meadows transitioning to old-growth spruce, pines, and aspen groves towards the back of the property.

Water

There are two good wells that service the property. In addition, there are two free-flowing wells that feed into Twin Creek that flows across the property.

The ranch includes a custom timber lock 4,332 square foot 4 bed 4 bath cedar home with masterfully crafted details in the entire estate. Complementing the home is a 40x60 steel-framed shop with sleeping quarters and bathroom; RV Pad with hookups. Alongside it is a 36x56 stable with six oversized stalls.
