The head waters to many major streams and rivers either start in the mountains of McCall Red Ridge Ranch or originate upstream and flow through the many high valleys of the ranch: Little Salmon River, Weiser River, Thrush Creek, Big Creek, Duffner Creek, Fish Creek, Vick Creek, Mill Creek, Beaver Creek, Little Creek, and countless unnamed stream tributaries.

Due to its sheer size and abundance of timber, McCall Red Ridge Ranch is one of only a few properties in North America that is essentially comparable to owning your own national forest. The ranch is comprised of 30,912 deeded acres, 130 state acres, and 80 BLM acres making it a virtually untouched wilderness property with a large amount of mature timber.
