The bottomland is very diverse with coastal flats and ridges of natural pine, hardwood and cypress. including very large oak trees in the red and white oak family. The acorns from the oak trees as well as soft mast from American Holly trees provide food for deer, turkey and other wildlife during low river levels and ducks during high river levels. The natural cypress sloughs that have carved their ways through the bottomland for thousands of years contain beautiful cypress and swamp tupelo and provides water when the river floods to a couple of hidden oxbow lakes. When the river recedes the sloughs are cut off from river access and the lakes are naturally restocked with fish. This property offers small and big game hunting, including squirrel, deer, turkey, wild hogs, duck hunting, and fishing!
