The La Cueva Farm, which was originally called the La Cueva Ranch, is rich in history. Founded in 1851 by Vicente Romero, the La Cueva Ranch was a part of the legendary Mora Land Grant. Romero was a local sheepherder who married one of the descendants of the Mora Land Grant. During the 1860s he would go on to build the 8,000 square foot hacienda for his family to live in.
