The lodge offers breathtaking views from every angle, from the riverside dining room to the cozy fireside spots located throughout. This lodge accommodates up to 46 guests. In the main lodge cabin, you will find 19 rooms. With 10 additional free-standing cabins. All rooms included their own private bathroom and scenic views. You can enjoy freshly caught King Salmon and locally grown vegetables with specialty cocktails on the large outdoor deck overlooking the Naknek River.

History

Established in 1918 the Katmai National Park and Preserve was made to protect the volcanically devastated region surrounding Novarupta and the valley of 10,000 Smokes. The Valley offers breathtaking landscapes at your fingertips for exploration and wildlife. This is one of the world’s largest volcanic eruptions of the 20th century. The Valley protects almost 9,000 years of human history.

King Salmon Lodge is 1 mile away from the King Salmon Airport (AKN). With no terrain and a 9,000-foot runway. This airport is known for its reliability and is an alternative to Southwest Alaska. King Salmon Airport can accommodate jet-driven aircraft of any size and is regularly serviced by Alaska Airlines including multiple daily flights in-season. For those flying private, there is free and secure aircraft parking, FOB services, and shuttle transportation from wing-side to river-side make travel easy.
