There are 3 irrigation wells equipped with electric submergible pumps. The Valley sprinkler applies water using a windshield pattern and is nozzled for 200 gallons of water per minute. There are 101 acres under the pivot. All wells can be used for the pivot, but the drip is currently running on one well. DRIP: The 28 acres in drip is located in the northwest part of the farm. There are 28 stations with each station covering one acre. Manual valves are located inside the 12 x 12 metal filtration barn that allows easy station selection. The filtration barn has electricity, concrete floor, and walk in door with lock. The drip acres are limited to one well at this time. Another well would more than likely need to be drilled, or the other two wells could be plumbed in with underground plastic to the system to increase the water quantity. The one well used for the drip is located on the northwest part of farm and will run 1 or maybe 2 stations at a time. The drip tape is on 40 spacing with 16 emitter spacing and was installed in 2009.
BARN: Another very nice metal barn is located on the west central side of the farm next to the filtration barn. It is a 40 x 60 insulated, metal barn, with concrete floor and electricity. There is an overhead door on the south side, and 3 walk in doors with locks. There is also an overhang (app. 10 x 60) for equipment on the east side attached to the main barn for protecting equipment or storage. The barn also includes some commercial grade racks on the north wall, a large air compressor, metal shop table, several electrical outlets, and overhead lighting. It is a very nice barn with 16 sides. SOILS: You will not find a farm with better soils. See attached soil map. This is a very level, nice farm with good soils and very nice improvements.
