This property was owned by a National Utility as a potential power plant site for decades. During their ownership the timber wasn't touched. The current owner has done some cutting west of Hwy 1 around 2009. The part of the property east of Hwy 1 remains untouched and could certainly benefit from some timber harvest activity. As far as I can tell there are only 4 privately held properties in MS that have MS River frontage along with levee protected oak forests. None of the others have timber this mature. The camp sits on Hwy 1 facing the levee and has a large enclosed metal shop and skinning shed. Deer and duck hunting, fishing and fun. Showing by appointment only.
