The ranch has a wildlife exemption plan in place for the past 15 years and has attracted a bountiful collection of whitetail deer, turkey, quail and hogs, in addition to other wildlife including bobcats and varmints. Included among others are blackbrush, Guayacan and guajillo, Cenizo, mountain laurel, tasajillo, brasil, argarita, kidney wood, desert yaupon and desert sumac.

The National Resource Specialist wrote the distribution of brush and the diversity of plant species found on this ranch and its canopy cover is currently ideal for providing food and escape cover and shelter for wildlife. In addition, the current owner has drilled three water wells into the Edwards Aquifer which are strategically located within the ranch to support several water troughs and 1 small pond. A year-round supplemental feeding program has kept a strong presence of game within the ranch which is high fenced along the back border and low fenced along the sides and front. The neighboring ranches are 20,000 acres, directly across from the front of the ranch and 1,400 acres and 10,000 acres along the low fenced sides.

Whitetail bucks have been in the 140 to 160 class and the numbers of turkey and quail are plentiful. The ranch happens to be in a dove flyway and the owner has reported seeing flights of hundreds of birds during dove season.

One of the aesthetic attractions of this ranch is the topography. With elevations over 1,300 feet in several areas, the views of the interior are stunning and offer the opportunity for the long-range hunter to test his Creedmoor skills.
