Goossen Tract

Excellent tract for recreation or investment. A majority of the tract was clear-cut in 2011. Following the harvest, roughly 15+/- acres of uplands were planted in longleaf pine, while 25+/- acres of lowland areas were planted in loblolly pine. The planted pine stands have the potential to produce timber income from intermediate thinnings and a clear-cut over the next 30-35 years. The planted longleaf stand also has the potential to produce income from raking pine straw beginning in 10+/- years. Tract backs up to a large swamp, and deer and bear are both present on the tract.
