This claim is in a very mineralized area, and is great for rock hounds, metal detecting, relic hunting, and dry-washing. It is one of the largest areas of historic gold mining discoveries.

Our claim is in the Tonto National Forest, which embraces almost 3 million acres of rugged and spectacularly beautiful country, ranging from Saguaro cactus-studded desert to pine-forested mountains beneath the Mogollon Rim. This variety in vegetation and range in altitude (from 1,300 to 7,900 feet) offers outstanding recreational opportunities throughout the year, whether its lake beaches or cool pine forest. Hikers, backpackers, wildlife observers and photographers will find many recreation opportunities here. A transfer of ownership is a sale of legal, exclusive ownership of a mining claim site. To be a legally recorded claim, gold had to be found on the claim, which was completed by us, as we are the original claim locators.

Gold always occurs in gravels in the metallic state and when so found has various physical characteristics. Gold is dense and heavy, it has a characteristic metallic color, and it is soft and easily malleable (it is easily formed by hammering).
