Excellent deer and bear hunting property with a nice mixture of timber. A selective cut of aspen trees took place on the property over twenty years ago, and there is still a very well built logging road running the length of the property. The majority of the timber on the property is about 25-year-old aspen and birch. There are also mature hardwoods scattered throughout the property, along with some mature white pines. About 5,000 pine trees were planted across the property ten years ago, and they are now flourishing. As you follow the old logging road back into the southern part of the property the land begins to climb a beautiful hardwood ridge, several rubs and scrapes were found along this ridge. There was abundant deer sign all over the property, with trails crisscrossing the internal road system. There is a good ratio of high to low ground providing plenty of cover for the local wildlife and creating natural funnels for the deer to travel. There are several openings on the property that would serve well as future food plot locations. With neighboring crops and fields, this property is sure to hold an abundance of deer. This property has the potential to produce trophy deer and bear with a quality management plan in place.
