Lyman Lake State Park, just south of St. Johns, is the most versatile water recreation site in the northern portion of the state. Lyman Lake offers launch ramps and a boat dock. There are no boat size restrictions. Water skiing in uncrowded surroundings, wind surfing, sailing, and swimming beaches offer water enthusiasts a wide range of activities. Great fishing, along with hiking trails (including one that takes you on a petroglyph tour) are appealing to outdoor enthusiasts. The property is mostly flat except at the very back where the wash starts (north end), it is slightly sloping. The wash is just before the northern end of the property and runs east to west. It is about 150 feet long and about 55 feet wide at its widest point (on the NE side). The soil is soft, vegetation is low, mostly dry brush and some cactus, not much sign of wildlife in the area except some cattle. The property is fenced with barb wire, not limited to this property but is fenced around the entire area. There is no road into the property (the property sites about 50 feet off HWY 61). No neighbors lining the property however there are neighbors across HWY 61 to the south. Power lines line HWY 61 East and West.
