Unit 17 is known as a trophy bull elk unit (archery or muzzleloader only) and is known for producing 380+ bulls, with the occasional old imperial reaching the 390-400 mark. With 10 actual deeded parcels, depending on how one titles the ranch, more elk tags could be available. The deer, turkey, bear, and lion tags are all over the counter, even and occasionally Coues Whitetail deer is found on the ranch.
