Dodge Road Forest a recreational woodlot with options for hunting, establishing a seasonal camp, woodlot management and wildlife viewing. The terrain is gentle, except near the southern edge of the central wetland where it is steep and rocky. The entire property is forested, except for the central wetland. Here, a small section of open water is surrounded by wetland vegetation. The wetland is formed from a small, unnamed creek that flows along the propertys western boundary. The area is scenic and likely attracts a variety of mammals, birds, dragonflies and butterflies. On the eastern edge of the property, a small plateau rises from the surrounding landscape and would make a pleasant site for a camp.

The forest generally has three stand types: 10 acres of spruce-fir sawtimber in the northwest corner of the property, 27 acres of mixedwood poles and sawtimber and are 10 acres of northern hardwood poles and sawtimber. Overall, the forest appears well-managed and adequately stocked. The last thinning was in 1996, removing select trees of varying ages.
