Three miles north of Deerwood is the Suwannee River State Park. It is located at the intersection of the Suwannee and Withlacoochee rivers. This park is alive with history. Visitors can see remnants of a 19th-century steamship and two ghost towns that have been reclaimed by the sandhill wilderness, which is home to diverse and imperiled native species. There hiking trails, campground, cabin rentals, and a paved boat ramp.

The Suwannee River State Park is part of the Twin Rivers Wildlife Management Area which consists of more than 9,000 acres in 14 non-contiguous tracts in Madison, Hamilton, and Suwannee counties. There are areas designated for hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, bicycling, and picnicking.

At Deerwood you will find five acre estates with scattered oak and hardwood trees throughout each property. We have cleared the boundary lines of each parcel and a small home site on each lot. The estates are located on a county maintained dirt road. Electricity is available to the front of the property. There is no requirement or timetable to build. Mobile and Modular Homes are permitted. Farm animals are permitted.

There are NO DEED RESTRICTIONS on this property, but you must follow the building codes of Suwannee County when you do decide to build or make improvements.
