The cabin was built in 2007 and is a total of 894 square feet of mountain comfort. Built with an engineered septic, and electricity provided by solar panels and battery bank and generator. Domestic water is currently hauled to a cistern tank. There is a permitted well for the property with the state of Colorado, but it has not been drilled yet. This permit will transfer to the new buyer should they want to drill a new well, however, the property has been used easily in the current configuration for over a decade. The cabin is a well-built 1 bed, 1 bath, with a large living room, kitchen with wood stove also, and beautiful porch facing the southern mountains. All the furnishings will be included, except for some of the owner's personal items.

The garage is a 576-square foot building with concrete floors, sliding garage door.

The small shed houses 16 marine batteries and the electrical panel for the solar array to store power.

A total of eight (8) solar panels power the marine batteries, and are supplemented by a propane generator.

Nearby Mountain Recreation: Hunting, Four Wheeling, Fishing, Boating, Snowmobiling & Cross-Country Skiing

Centrally located on the McClure Pass area geographically known as the Somerset area, there's plenty of mountain recreation to keep outdoor-friendly buyers busy. Easily accessible off the turn off the CR 265, the Grand Mesa is just miles from this cabin, with hundreds of thousands of acres of public land accessible to anyone. Up 265 is also "Overland Reservoir", a fun mountain reservoir with good fishing, camping sites, and access points to hunt surrounding mountain areas. It's also close to Electric Mountain Lodge, for summer and winter recreation, whether you're snowmobiling or cross country skiing, you can drop by for a hot meal or a cocktail. To the south is access to Paonia State Park, with the Paonia Reservoir which is a great lake for summer boating, paddle boarding, and more. Further south is Kebler Pass, with great access points to West Elks hiking trails and hunting. Along this pass is also Lost Lake, and eventually comes to Crested Butte. Hopping over McClure Pass, you can drop into Marble, and do some world-class four wheeling and see the renowned Crystal Mill. There's plenty of activities all within striking distance of this mountain cabin.
