City Field Ranch

First time on the market in 140 years! The City Field Ranch is now available for sale. Cotton was once king in this part of the world and that fact is where, in large part, the City Field derives its name. The farm hands and sharecroppers that once worked this land were paid by the owners in silver dollars. It quickly became known as Silver Dollar City and was shortened to bear the current name of City Field. While the cotton fields are no longer there, this ranch still holds a historical significance and is well known in the local area among waterfowl and wildlife enthusiasts. The City Field represents some of the finest hardwood river bottom country that there is in these parts. There are now groves of huge, mature native pecan trees that offer plenty of cover and feed for wildlife as well as offering some income potential to any who are willing to harvest those pecans.
