Chupadera Ranch

Chupadera Ranch is completely surrounded by national forest which makes this ranch a very unique holding given its easy access. This setup will allow a new owner to easily set up a small cattle ranch or horse ranch. The ranch has the best set of pipe corrals in the area. The ranch sits in an area that receives little attention because it is off the beaten path but has no limit of things to do and see. Run some cattle to keep the tax exemption and enjoy hunting and recreation on the ranch and national forest.

Chupadera Ranch sits in northwest New Mexico just a few miles north of Llaves. Cuba, New Mexico is just 30 minutes and offers the closest grocery store. Albuquerque is 2 hours and offers air service from all major airlines.

Access

The ranch is accessed by and also fronts State Highway 112.

Elevation, Topography, Vegetation

Sanctuary ranch sits at an elevation of about 7,000 feet and has a rolling juniper, ponderosa, pinyon, and sagebrush covered hills interspersed with open valleys. National Forest completely surrounds the ranch.

Improvements

The ranch has a really good set of pipe corrals and some barns that need work to make functional. It is fully fenced with fair to good barbed wire fences. There is an older home that needs some work but can be habitable. There is also a really neat old homestead cabin that is good condition and has power to it.

Hunting

Chupadera Ranch sits in GMU 5b and offers excellent hunting. The current owners have taken numerous deer and elk on the property over the years. Currently the ranch has received 1 bull and 1 cow voucher and mule deer tags are over the counter. There were 2 very nice bulls taken on neighboring ranches in 2020 that were in the 330-370 class. Tremendous deer are taken in the area every year (ask to see photo of deer taken on ranch to south).

Recreation

Chupadera Ranch offers owners the ability to enjoy the solitude and peaceful ranching lifestyle as well as many outdoor activities without ever leaving the ranch. There are also multitudes of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the ranch. Visit art galleries, soak in hot springs, discover ancient ruins, gamble a little, drive scenic byways and discover a hidden oasis.
