The Morgan Building was built sometime between 1920 and 1930, just west of the present location, on the southeast corner of Pecan and 4th Street (facing Pecan). The original owner being Miss Mae Morgan, who called her little store, C.S.& C.N. which stood for Common Sense and Common Necessities. She was involved in community activities, being a steward in the Methodist church and an active member of the Blanco Chamber of Commerce and the Cemetery association. She was well known and respected, never married and took care of her parents. Her store carried a stock of good, dependable and reasonably priced items.
