The Carroll Tract is 136 acres located in Kershaw County SC. It is situated just a little over 3 miles east of the Town of Kershaw and 2.5 miles south of the Haile Gold Mine. It has great access with a little over 1,845 ft of paved (Neds Creek Road) frontage. The tract is on both sides of Neds Creek Road with most of the acres being on the west side. Neds creek serves as the boundary for the west and northwest of the tract giving the tract a nice water feature, privacy and a draw for all sorts of wildlife. Neds Creek is a tributary to the Lynches River, and the two meet just 1000 ft downstream from the property. The majority of the tract is a 9-year-old planted pine stand that is around 114 acres. That is stocked with an average of 500 loblolly pine to the acre, and should be ready for the first thinning in 8 years or less. The stand provides excellent cover for deer and other wildlife and the area is known for great deer and turkey populations. There is a beautiful white oak dominated hill on the east side of Neds Creek road that is a must see. The tract also has a few food plots and a gas line that can be planted for wildlife. The tract is 48 miles from Charlotte NC and 46 miles from Columbia SC.
