This ranch is located just out of Clayton, New Mexico just north of the 5 States Livestock Auction Barn on Hwy. 370 which goes to the Chief Rabbit Ears Mountain and Clayton Lake area for recreation purposes. This is productive and beautiful ranch country which is well suited for a cow/calf or yearling operation or a combination of both. The owner states that he is currently running approximately 80 cows year round on the ranch.

Water is provided for livestock from the Clayton City Water system as the ranch is located in close proximity to the city limits of Clayton, New Mexico together with a well located off the caprock down in the canyon which is cased with 16 inch casing adequate for installing a large turbine pump with potential for producing large amounts of water for irrigation. The well is currently equipped with a small, submersible electric motor and pump at this time.

There is a set of gathering/working pens composed of steel pipe and wire with crowding alley and hydraulic working chute. The pens are located at the southeast corner of the property just north of the auction barn for convenience in receiving and shipping livestock. Located off of the mesa at the big well is a nice open-front barn for cattle and horses and a storage barn for tack, medicine, etc.

Adjoining neighbors to the ranch with land available for irrigation are currently being contacted with the idea of leasing or buying their land to be irrigated with water from the well on the ranch to be piped to any lands available for irrigation.

A very prominent point in the value of the ranch is a volcanic rock quarry for mining and crushing of rock used for road building materials and base ballast for railroad track.
