The Black Swamp lodge, located less than 1 mile from Rex Hancock Road, will get you as close as you can to this well renowned and famous area in Arkansas duck hunting history.
With living space just shy of 3,000 sq.ft., you will enjoy a huge great room with a large fireplace along with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The impressive pecky cypress planks wrapping the interior of the place is a rare find due to the expense and scarcity of this wood today. The large glass windows lining the east wall of the great room and lounge room boasts a special view across the field to the woods that profile the Cache River. The back room (or mud room) serves as the laundry room, which is also where the half bath is located, giving you the ability to come in directly from the outside without tracking your muddy boots/clothes through the lodge.

It has two central heating and cooling units using a heat pump HVAC system that serves the front portion and rear portion of the lodge. The HVAC systems are a dual fuel system which will allow, in colder weather, the system to switch from electric to an alternative fuel source using the 1,000 gallon propane tank connected to the lodge that will definitely keep it nice and toasty. If you're concerned about the loss of power in a rural area, there is no need as it has its own Generac 20kW whole home backup generator.
There are multiple options for storing all your equipment and supplies. The 1.66 acre (m/l) lot offers not only a large graveled parking area, but also a partially enclosed 40x50 pole shed, a 12x24 storage building, and even a heated/cooled 14x20 building that could also serve as another bunking quarters or place for your dogs. The concrete slab, where the 12x24 building sits, was formerly a dog kennel pad which has a sloped grade with a cleanout trough that washes down to its own septic tank underground.
Whether it is spending good times with your hunting buddies or quality time with your family, this place offers an exceptional avenue for making memories to hold and pass down. If you get bored sitting around at the lodge, you can head over to the highly popular Tamale Factory, just barely over a mile away, for a great meal with others from the area.
