The Morehouse Parish Tract (#03019-03902) is a +/- 331.9-acre (per GIS Estimate) tract of timberland located in Morehouse Parish about five miles north of Bastrop, LA (North 32.84735, West 91.91031). About 166 acres were planted in 2001 with Loblolly Pine and have been first-thinned; another 67 acres feature a mixture of pine and hardwood established in 2004. These pine areas have a generally well-drained upland topography. The vast majority of the property features 93 acres of mixed hardwood timber with Bayou Bartholomew, a scenic Louisiana river, flowing through in a southerly direction along the northwestern side. Access is available with a gated road running from Palmetto Road up to the south side of the property via an old RR grade.
