If you’re looking for an affordable property that will provide a true chance at a mature buck, you have to check out the photos, trail cam pics, and interactive map on this great property. Located between Little Falls and Long Prairie, the property generally consists of some of the best bedding and security cover that one can ask for as well as isolated wooded points, a pond, a manmade water hole, and food plots. The property is also literally just into the rifle zone.
Upon initial look, yes, there is a good amount of slough area. Knowing the area, however, I was excited to get my boots on the ground to see how good the cover was for holding deer. In short, I wasn’t disappointed with the taller grass, willow, and overall, just thick nasty cover that one needs to hold deer. I actually jumped a couple of does and then a very respectable buck and then some “tree branches” that turned out to be a buck that looked to have the makings of a really good one this fall.
One can see them on the interactive map tab but there are several trails connecting between the wooded points/islands which the two main ones have water holes/ponds incorporated inside of them. The northern food plot is approx. 2 acres in size and is in about as perfect of a location as one can ask for with being wrapped on 3 sides with mature timber. The smaller “kill plot” is located in the SE part of the property.
The property is also situated in an area with various ag fields around the general area and is also in the middle of a larger habitat complex. I could go on and on about the property but again, one really has to get their boots on the ground to appreciate all it has to offer. The sellers have mowed trails and again, the food plots are ready to go so throw up a couple of stands, and it's turnkey and ready to go. The property is also located in permit area 214 which for 2020, was an intensive harvest permit area.
There is no doubt that mature bucks have utilized the property year in and year out, so give a shout and I’d love to discuss this property in further detail!
