Situated on a dead-end road just north of Ship Rock; deer, turkey, and waterfowl can be found in this tradition rich area. Accessible via recorded, gravel road easement, multiple trails wind throughout the property leading to food plots and permanent, elevated stands.
This tract is very representative of the local landscape. An assortment of oak ridges and islands break up the thick tag alder and tamarack swamp creating the wildlife habitat trifecta of food, water, and cover. Easterly access aids ingress/egress for predominately westerly wind directions. On a macro scale, large ag fields are found to the southeast. Strategically located food plots in the southeast corner of the property serve as staging areas to capitalize on the flow of deer to and from the destination fields. Centrally located in a large block of cover, with the nearest roads ranging from one half mile to nearly three miles away, local bucks have a plethora of hiding spots to grow old. Several large bucks were taken on this property, the largest of which scored 184".
The turkey and waterfowl hunting opportunities should not be overlooked. Two visits to the property this spring yielded two toms. The numerous food plots transition to sedge marshes that often contain water with nesting ducks and geese. In the fall, this is a very productive waterfowl parcel. Throughout spring, the property is usually wet until mid-June when the plots are tilled and planted. Miles of trails are mowed in August when grass growth begins to slow.
Please note this property would not be suitable for building. There may be potential to place a camper onsite for overnight stays.
