This high-bluff property, that will remind you of the Pictured Rocks National Park, is located in north-eastern Baraga County in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. There are incredible views from this parcel of the Huron Islands National Wildlife Refuge. You can see the beacon of Lighthouse Island, which gleams three miles away. Lighthouse Island, or West Huron, is the second largest of the eight islands comprising the 147-Acre Islands in the Refuge. The refuge was established for the protection of migratory birds, specifically, a large nesting colony of herring gulls. Thousands of acres of Corporate CFA lands, and Copper Country State Forest Lands are a few miles away for access to hunting and river fishing. Just a mile+ away is the West Branch of the Huron River, which flows northward into the Huron, and then empties into Lake Superior. This is a Type 1 Fishing Stream. This property is nicely wooded, and can be reached by a good gravel road. Trees Common In The Area Include: Sugar maple, Quaking aspen, American basswood, Balsam fir, Paper birch, Red maple, Yellow birch, Bigtooth aspen and Eastern hemlock.
