If you are looking for hunting and timber land in Wilcox County, this is a good selection. Deer are abundant in the area and this tract has a lot of deer sign. Most of the merchantable timber on the property was harvested in the summer of 2008, and the cut over areas were planted in loblolly pine in the winter of 2009, with good survival to-date. There are large hardwood trees along Pursley Creek and on the south hillside which provide an excellent mast food source for deer. The topography goes from flat to steep as noted on the enclosed topographic map. The summer 2009 aerial photograph shows the areas of remaining hardwood timber.

The owner of the subject tract has the right to access the property, but terms on the use of the road through the adjoining tract must be agreed upon by this landowner. Pursley Creek has to be crossed if using this access, and the crossing is shown on the photograph below. Note that the creek bed is dry in this October 2010 photograph.
