Location:The ranch is located south of Aspermont on FM 610. It is approximately 60 miles northwest of Abilene, 100 miles east of Lubbock, and 200 miles west of Fort Worth.

Grasses on the ranch include little bluestem, hooded windmill, sideoats gramma, buffalo grass, and love grass to name a few.
Topography:The topography on the ranch varies considerably, with elevations ranging from 1,740 feet to 1,854 feet. Much of the ranch is comprised of level to rolling mesquite flats, with many bluffs and draws scattered throughout. The southern section of the ranch (referred to by the family as the deep south pasture) drops off into rugged bluffs.
Cover:Cover ranges from very thick mesquite pasture to some more open areas of pasture that have been grubbed about 10 years ago, to some cedar breaks. There are several areas with large cottonwood and willow trees, as well as, loads of hackberry trees. You'll find skunkbush, elbow bush, algerita, ephedra, wild plums, wolfberry and other desirable browse plants.
Fences:Perimeter fences are barbed wire on metal and cedar posts and are in good condition
Utilities:There is electricity in place at several locations on the ranch. Rural water is supplied by Tri Try Water Co.
Water:Water is supplied to the house and two water troughs by Tri Try Water. At the time of this writing, there were six earthen stock tanks holding water. Several areas on the ranch will also hold water for a long period after a rain. Salt Creek also passes through the southwest corner of the ranch.
Hunting:The area is known far and wide for its fantastic hunting. Wildlife includes whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkey, bobwhite quail, dove, feral hogs and several species of predators.
Residence and Improvements:The farmhouse serves as a headquarters for the hunters who have leased the ranch for over 20 years. There is also a large barn with a dirt floor behind the house. A good set of working pens is located directly behind the barn.
