The property, with the Frio River as its southern boundary, has numerouswater features that are unique. The Mossy slough offers a wide variety of recreational experiences along its winding path through the ranch. The water in the slough is permanent (current owner has never seen it dry in over 10 years) and the slough is like having another river running through the ranch. The hunting experience along the route of the slough is amazing. Wildlife and especially the larger whitetail live and roam up and down the slough and the Frio River bottom area.

The ranch has some old barns and an old house. The house is in real bad condition. The artesia well is near the old home area. The water well flows into the large stock tank which measures approximately 8 to 9 acres when full. The slough is a great asset to the property offering a fabulous water source, habitat for wildlife and great fishing.
Water:
This ranch is extremely well watered. Mossy slough runs up and through the property and holds water year round offering some excellent and interesting fishing and hunting opportunities. The Slough comes into the property on the southwest side of the ranch turns north and loops up and turns back to exit on the east side of the property at Hwy 97. Mossy slough is loaded with bass, catfish, carp, crappy and huge allegator gar. The owner reports they have landed 8 pound bass, 30+ pound catfish and an allegator gar weighing in excess of 150 pounds! The slough meanders through the property and varies in width and depth throughout. The wildlife love this area and the populations are incredible. The larger lake contains about 8 acres of surface coverage when completely full, the flowing well nearby keeps the lake at a fairly constant level. Neither one of these water features has ever gone dry. And, the Frio River is an excellent wildlife enhancing and recreational activity feature of this ranch that offers year round fun for family and friends. The fishing is very good.
