Looks can be deceiving and I am guilty of underestimating this property initially. After hearing some stories, (both hunting and fishing) from the current owners combined with excessive deer sign seen with my own eyes, I can't wait to check the trail cams I hung in the middle of a well populated apple tree orchard. Trails and beds were everywhere and it was obvious that a large number of animals are being drawn from the surrounding hills, some of these hills on large well managed hunting tracts. The tall bottom cover with the all-season spring fed creek certainly invites some of these deer to spend the day on the property. The mature animals learn over time that these areas are often left alone during hunting season and will come back to lay undisturbed when the heat is on in the adjacent bluffs. I know little about trout fishing on this property, but the fact that a huge Brown Trout was recently caught here has to be a great sign of the possibilities. Portions of Village Creek are stocked upstream and some of these trout are migrating to downstream pools. Waterfowl populations are high in this area and I would expect that with a few minor improvements geared at attracting them this property would also have great potential for hunting them as well. Easy access minutes from downtown Lansing give you plenty of indoor opportunities when you are not enjoying the outdoors. In cooperation with Williams & Williams Auction Service.
