The Tenmile Creek tract is a beautiful example of one of North Floridas most ecologically important landscapes. From the peak of the ridge youll walk downhill through a green and open natural longleaf/turkey oak landscape complete with live oaks and wiregrass. The dramatic vistas at the highest elevations of the tract slope gently down 100 feet and enter into old growth creek bottoms with big natural pine and hardwood. Finally, you arrive at Tenmile Creek, a pristine and clear, spring-fed, sand bottomed example of one of Floridas famed natural water resources. The creek is cold year-round with strong flow even in the driest parts of our seasons, and flows for over 1/4 mile through the property.

The diversity of cover types and browse support good populations of deer and turkey indeed the turkey oaks get their name from their relationship with Americas iconic game bird. The perpetual water resource with the creek, as well as neighboring Turkey Pen Pond, makes sure that local animals stay close to the property. Youll have no problem limiting out this hunting season.
For long-distance marksmen, the pipeline easement on the property would let you place a shot from over a half-mile away. It also serves as a well-maintained central road for the property. A small storage shed is also on the property and has plenty of room for a bunk bed for overnight trips, or to store ATVs or supplies. For the homesteader, there are several beautiful spots to build that hunting lodge youve been dreaming about, including the peak of the ridge, which would give you a view like what you find much further north in the foothills of the Appalachians. Access to the property is via a jointly-owned and maintained road with two neighbors and is kept in good shape.
The property is located just 45 minutes from Panama City (and the International Airport) in a quiet area surrounded by timberland and farmland. Its a short 20 minute drive to farming town Altha, FL for food and supplies. Check out the Farmers Coop and well-stocked ACE Hardware while youre there. The Calhoun County Airport is close-by as well for smaller flights.
