The topography of the tract is gently rolling with primarily Pikeville and Smithton fine sandy loams. The NRCS Web Soil Survey reports the average site index for Loblolly Pine at between 80 and 90 feet (base age 50). These good soils make this an excellent site for long term timber investment. In addition to timber, the property is located between Banks and Harrell just mile north of Highway 278 and has excellent access by a blacktop county road which splits the property and with available utilities.
Driving Directions: The tract is accessed by turning north at the intersection of Highway 278 and County Rd. 38 (about 2.5 miles east of Harrell) and then traveling 0.5 miles to where the county road splits the property. You can also access the southwestern portion of the tract by turning west (left) on County Rd. 110 and going 0.2 miles to the south line. A KFS Land For Sale sign is located on County Rd. 38 on each side of the road and another sign is located on the south line on County Rd. 110.
