Prime Whitetail Deer Hunting in Goliad County. This ranch has it all: water well, electricity, many large Oak Trees, open areas, excellent fences, deer hunters cabin and Four ground stock tanks. The largest tank is appx. 50 acres. It was dug by a Texas Highway Dept. highway contractor for the overpasses at Fanin. There are a couple of seasonal creeks that dump into the 50-ac tank. The second largest is appx. 5 acres with an apron of water that dumps into the larger body of water. The other two stock tanks are smaller and on the other side of the main ranch road. This is also an excellent cattle ranch with pens and holding pens and lots of good grasses. The deer hunters cabin is small but compact and will keep sleeping hunters warm. In back of the cabin is a small metal storage building on skids, fairly new. Thr ranch road coming off FM 2506 is gravel and goes all the way to the cabin and also continues to the last stock tank. Hunters can drive all the way around the ranch febce lines except near the 50 ac lake. Lots of draws, Oak trees and brush prevent traveling in this area. This realtor and another realtor was on the ranch in late June of this year driving the fence lines and we saw two huge bucks, at least 12-14 pointers. One reason for so many large bucks on this ranch is the neighbor to the northhas 2000 acres with NO hunting of any kind. Second reason is across FM 2506 there is a 5000 acre ranch with no deer hunting.
