Hadley Mountain Forest lies in the northern Vermont town of Lowell, between the Green Mountains to the west and the Lowell Mountains to the east. Hadley Mountain, at the lands southwest corner, is 2,440 in elevation. Property-wide, most of the terrain is gentle to rolling; however, a of the lands slopes rise steeply to Hadley Mountain. Soils are predominately well drained and highly compatible to the nutrient-rich demanding sugar maple species which dominates the forest. The clearing at the entrance to the property from Newton Road provides a good site to establish a recreation retreat cabin or seasonal homestead, where attractive views of the surrounding mountains would be available with tree clearing.
