The timber stand on the tract consists of a very well established 2008 pine plantation. The site was clearcut in June of 2007 followed by a flat burn in July of 2007. In October of 2007, the site was sprayed with 64 oz of Chopper to control hardwood. The site was planted in February of 2008 with Weyerhaeuser 2nd Generation Atlantic Coastal Seedlings. Presently the site has a very well stocked plantation that averages 18-24” in height and is expressing excellent growth thus far in 2009. Competition control is very good and the stand should offer great timber investment potential. The topography is gently rolling with primarily Savannah and Smithdale fine sandy loam soils and an average site index for loblolly pine of 80+ feet (Base Age 50), per the NCSS Web Soil Survey.
